Each year I aspire to teach my clients lessons that will help them improve their personal and professional lives and their businesses. But what many of them probably don’t realize is that I simultaneously learn as I teach. And even though I’ve been consulting for more than thirty-five years, each year and each client has a new lesson to teach. Here are my top ten for 2016:

Every CEO dreams to be the leadership material that their employees would want to stick to for the rest of their careers. Great employees are great coworkers, and it is the goal of the CEO to keep them and maintain a healthy and growing relationship with them.

Letting some good people go and seeing them bloom in another company is probably the worst nightmare a leader could have. If you ever wonder why some of your best employees don’t last. Here are a few things about being a leadership material that you need to know.

The new CEO wanted to slug it out of the ballpark at his first all-hands meeting. Employees were watching the broadcast from around the globe. Obviously, engaging those assembled in the auditorium in front of him would be much easier. But he didn’t want to miss the first opportunity to gain their confidence that he could handle the job vacated by his predecessor.
